The Meaning
Behind the name

The name "Kairos Integrative Mental Health" was decided on with the intention to represent the mission of the practice: create a space for people to truly experience lasting growth and healing that will improve their lives, their relationships and their mental health. "Kairos" is an Ancient Greek word meaning a divine or opportune moment. Therapy offers such a unique time for transformation, and change that Kairos felt like such an illustrative representation of the experience. Integrate means to join things together so they become whole. Integrative was chosen for the name as it refers to both the joining of the past and present versions of self, and the joining of the mind with the body for a wholistic approach to mental health treatment.

a symbol of
individuality and healing

When choosing a logo to represent Kairos, the intention was a symbol that would represent the philosophy behind the practice, honoring the journey clients embark on when choosing to work on their mental health.

The fingerprint speaks to two main focuses of mental health. The first is about the individuality of each client. Everyone's nervous system, history, triggers, strengths and challenges are unique and specific to them. Treatment focuses on each person as an individual human, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

The second focus of the fingerprint is about the wholeness of your mind and body working together, influencing your mental and physical health overall. Treatment for all clients includes a balanced focus on both mental and physical aspects of health for a well-rounded therapeutic experience.

The waves represent movement, regulation, tranquility and adaptability. The challenges of life ebb and flow like currents in the ocean. The goal at Kairos is to empower clients to learn to ride the currents of life with more regulation, steadiness, and trust in their own capacity to return to balance.
